About CBA Content

CBA Content is an independent content producer who specialises in helping businesses in the arts and cultural heritage industries connect their audience to experiences that matter. Through planning, writing and optimising content (blogs, newsletters, case studies, landing pages and social media), we provide audience-building solutions and bring relevant experiences to online communities.

Currently, CBA Content is looking for a natural self-starter to join the team – someone who is passionate about helping museums, galleries and cultural heritage organisations grow using digital content.

About the candidate

This role is for someone who thinks creatively in their approach to content marketing and has an understanding of different content types, SEO and digital marketing best practices. Your background is in communications, journalism or marketing and you are passionate about telling stories.  A natural self-starter, you also have excellent writing and communication skills as well as a knack for being organised. When faced with a new challenge, you start with what you know how to solve first and then look to external resources for help.

Must-haves

About the role

Working closely with the director, you will be proactively taking on projects and helping ensure that content marketing goals are achieved. You will have the creative freedom to take a piece of content from ideation to completion, gaining first-hand experience working with clients. Current and previous clients include One Further, English Heritage and The Beyonder. You will also help boost prospecting efforts (with a focus on Cornish museums, galleries and heritage sites) and keep CBA Content’s blog up to date. You won’t be required to run paid ads or directly manage any client’s social media or blogs.

Why you should apply

In case you need more convincing, here are some other awesome benefits of working at CBA Content: you will not only have the creative freedom to help businesses in the arts and cultural heritage sector find new ways to attract and engage with their online communities, but you will also be able to see first-hand what it’s like running an independent content company. What’s more, CBA Content is based out of St. Ives, Cornwall, so (when it’s safe again) get ready for in-person meetups by the sea and cultural days out to Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden and more.

Sound like the role for you? Click the link below to fill out a short questionnaire (embedded above as well) and I will be in touch soon.

Terms of contract

The first three months of the freelance position will be a probationary period in order to assess the candidate’s performance and make sure he/she is the right fit for the role. Within the probationary period the candidate’s contract may be terminated with one week’s notice and no redundancy pay. After three months the probation period will be reviewed and the possibility of the role being made permanent will be discussed.

Please note

In compliance with the work visa CBA Content is set up under, the candidate must either be a British citizen or settled worker in the UK (i.e. you are a UK resident with the ability to work and live here).
